Michael D. Gordin, a historian of science, is Rosengarten Professor of Modern and Contemporary History and Director of the Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts at Princeton University. Besides Einstein in Bohemia, featured in his Rorotoko interview, he is the author of five books, including Scientific Babel: How Science Was Done before and After Global English, two books on early nuclear history, a biographical study of Dmitrii Mendeleev, and a history of fringe sciences after World War II.
