I can’t stop but wonder, is vanity a way of life too? Is Dumm suggesting that loneliness is a condition just like any other of human life? Why is it then that often people can hardly bear being alone? Is it vanity the opposite of loneliness or the pusher of loneliness? I think i am going to read this book. Anyone thinks it is worth it? the interview certainly is.
