Because the locaL public library discarded Inheriting the Revolution’  I was able to re ad it and enjoy it very much!  This is my life, I c an even contribute that there is another place named Niles, a hamlet in the Moravia NY school district.  I wondered about that name which is different from the usual classics or war heroes.
Pehaps I can find and read your newer books.  Once I was a student of history.

High tech capitalism evolved over time taking advantage of machine efficiencies, consolidation, and cheap labor abroad and at home. All combined to bring about end stage capitalism,  a hybrid feudalism where corporations dominate and opportunities are eliminated.  Small business were steamrolled and masses forced into working for subsistence wages.  Socialistic governments happily come to the rescue to take up slack creating unprecedented welfare and entitlement programs.  Over time, the consequences of fiat economies and welfare caught up, became unsustainable and collapsed.
